A “Visioning Day” for our Chapter

Gathering in the Parish Hall at 8:30 am, Centering Prayer 9:00 am
Day ends with Centering Prayer @ 3:30 pm

The purpose for our Chapter hosting this event is to gather to celebrate our experience of sharing a passion for Centering Prayer with others – and furthermore, -

  • Celebrate the service of Contemplative Outreach in our local area
  • Assess the need to establish a Leadership Team with working Service Team(s)
  • Assess the current needs of our Chapter, outlying areas, and people involved
  • Seek input from participants on the mission and role of the Chapter
  • Identify programs suitable for our Chapter and encourage participation
  • Explore challenges before us – implementing realistic future growth/programs
  • Prioritize challenges and tasks we want to embrace for the next 1-3 years
  • Gain a vision for carrying out our mission
  • Acknowledge and encourage the ecumenical dimension and Spirit
  • Envision the highest potential of our chapter

This event will be coordinated and facilitated by Susan Komis, a leader of Contemplative Outreach Ltd., and member of the National Faculty. She has been with Contemplative Outreach of St. Louis since 1990, and now serves as Director of Chapter Resources and Communications. In that capacity, she provides communication, networking, mentoring and support to chapters worldwide, and assists in chapter leadership, growth and development. Susan is also a certified Pastoral Minister and has worked in Adult Faith Development and various other ministries.

Whether you’re new to the practice of Centering Prayer or have been a practitioner for some time or are just curious, we heartily invite you to participate in this rare event and to bring along your energy and ideas for furthering the mission of Contemplative Outreach in Fort Worth and North Texas .

There is no cost for this event, although donations won’t be turned away. Pizza and refreshments will be served. You’re on your own for breakfast.
